The social network added a prompt in early October that appeared when a user attempts to quote tweet a tweet containing information that has been disputed, and Twitter said those prompts have helped slash quote tweets of misleading information by 29%.
Twitter Support tweeted Monday that those prompts are being extended to likes, so that users will see them before they can like a tweet carrying the disputed information label.

The social network tweeted, “Giving context on why a labeled tweet is misleading under our election, Covid-19 and synthetic and manipulated media rules is vital.”
